Features
Mica rolls are made up of phlogopite mica paper, fiberglass fabric and bonded with a high performance resin. The material is submitted to pressure and heat for curing.
There are different possible combinations for the mica and fiberglass fabric: mica on both outer sides and fiberglass in between, mica on only one side or even with mica between two fiberglass fabric layers.
Rolls standard dimensions are 20,000 x 1,000 mm.
Although these materials maintain their flexibility under normal environmental conditions, storage in a dry and fresh area is recommended.
Typical applications
Mica in rolls is mainly used in applications in the metallurgical sector, particularly for induction furnaces insulation.
