It exhibits excellent “non-wettability” performance for aluminium, magnesium, zinc and lead, as well as their alloys. It can be applied on refractory materials, ceramic pieces and metal surfaces.
The standard presentation is in 6 kg buckets. It can also be supplied as a spray.
Typical applications
- Protection of spoons, channels, ingot moulds, etc. from attacks from aggressive casting.
- Shake/stir the product before use and dilute with distilled water if necessary.
- It can be applied on clean surfaces by painting or spraying.
- Better results can be achieved by spraying on warm surfaces (50-150 °C).
- Dry completely; avoid the contact of molten metal on wet paint.
- The best results are achieved by applying thin coats (50-150 μm); thicker coats may crack during use.
- Tools used to apply them can be cleaned with water.
